Teaching a 9th grader how to focus on building friendships, not social media “friends”

Teaching a 15-year-old how to focus on building relationships with peers who he can see outside of school. He is a baseball player so I used a baseball analogy to help him understand levels of friendship and who he should be focusing is energy on rather than speaking to many acquaintances on Snapchat.  The “975” at the bottom are the number of people whom he is connected with on Snapchat but really doesn’t know.
